Guduchi-also known as Galo, Giloy, Amrita (Elixir or Nectar) , Tinospora Cordifolia is considered to be the elixir of life,  in Ayurveda, offering multiple wellbeing and longevity to the body. In Ayurveda the great ayurvedic physicians have noted the amazing health benefits of Guduchi- Amrita.

It is mainly used for immunity boosting, for skin, urinary burning or difficulty, detoxifying the liver-gut -blood, soothing in fever, chronic skin conditions, healing tissues, managing blood sugar and obesity, arthritis.

Influence  On Doshas:

Tridosha balancing herb, the Rasayan or rejuvenating properties of Guduchi make it a powerful herb that effectively balances all three Doshas -Vata-Pitta-Kapha.

Dose: Guduchi Churna: ½ tsp ( 500mg-1g ) of the herb powder,

How to take Guduchi herb powder: Add half teaspoon approx 1g to warm water, add some fresh lemon and half teaspoon of honey or jaggery. Add a dash of rock salt and black pepper. stir well and enjoy slowly. 

Taste: Guduchi has a slightly bitter and astringent  taste hence it is taken with honey, jaggery and lemon juice which act as Anupan- carriers which can also enhance

Side effects: Research has shown no significant  side effects of Guduchi taken within the recommended dose.
